Course › Level 4 — Your first trade

Place your first practice trade

Let's put a real (virtual) trade on, using everything from Levels 2 and 3.

  1. Read the chart (the 60-second read): D1 trend → H1 trend → mark levels → where's price now?
  2. Wait for a setup: price at a level, with the trend, structure intact. If there isn't one, wait — that IS trading.
  3. Do the math: 1% of $10,000 = $100 max risk. Stop goes behind the level with breathing room. Calculator gives you the lot size.
  4. Run the checklist: our pre-trade checklist — every box green or no trade.
  5. Place it: in MT5 press F9 (or tap New Order), enter lot size, set SL and TP in the order window, then Buy or Sell.
  6. Hands off. The trade now runs to the stop or the target. No touching.
Your goal for the first 20 demo trades is not profit. It's following the process 20 times without breaking a rule. Profit follows process — never the other way round.
