Check in MT5: right-click the symbol → Specification → tick value / tick size. For many Deriv synthetics this is $1 per point per lot, but always verify your symbol.

How it works

Lot size = (balance × risk%) ÷ (stop distance × point value). Wider stop → smaller lots. If the lot size comes out below your symbol's minimum, your stop is too wide for your account on that instrument — reduce risk elsewhere, don't oversize.
